Conference co-chairs and committee
The IDPE 2020 Annual Conference is developed by members for members and would not be possible without the hard work of the conference co-chairs and committee.
Head of Development, Bolton School
'I was honoured to be asked to serve as this year’s conference co-chair, and have thoroughly enjoyed working with Caroline Monaghan, Louise Bennett, Fiona Youngman, and the rest of the committee to build an engaging and varied conference programme.
The challenges facing our sector currently are plentiful, but so too are the opportunities, and I feel confident that this year’s conference programme will inspire everyone who attends to continue to work to provide outstanding educational experiences for the young people of their communities.'
Radleian Society Manager, Radley College
'This is my second year as conference co-chair and I haven’t regretted taking it on for a minute. As soon as the conference ends in June it is my responsibility to work with IDPE to form a committee of volunteers to develop the conference content for the following year. This has been a great way of meeting new people in development, and to discuss the latest trends in our industry, so that we can shape a conference programme that is relevant, useful and enjoyable. For me this role has been a chance to step back, move myself out of the ‘day-to-day’ at Radley and hear what others are doing in their schools. This is important for all of us; it helps us to ensure we keep up with, and get ahead of the inevitable changes that always face our industry. And this is exactly why the IDPE conference is such an important event to attend every year, it enables interaction with others and shares industry best practice, two vital things to keep us all fresh!'
